The Pictish Trail, aka Johnny Lynch, heads out on that lonesome winter highway in January to promote his imminent album “Secret Soundz – Volume 2”, the imaginatively titled follow-up album to his critically-acclaimed 2008 debut “Secret Soundz – Volume 1”. When I say “imminent”, of course I mean 21 January 2013 but it’s well worth the wait. The album will initially be preceded by a 12″ double-gatefold vinyl package and also a limited edition 2-CD version including it’s aforementioned predecessor.
“Secret Soundz Volume 2” is a wonderful collection of lo-fi electro folk pop (or you can make up your own label for it) that has been worming its merry way around my aural cavaties all day. Mmm, nice…
