The Aberfeldy Music Festival celebrates its third anniversary in early November with arguably its best line-up yet.
Beer-drinking, record collecting, crime writing Ian Rankin was charged with the task of guest curating his own fantasy festival and thankfully all his selections, except Level 42 and Queen, were available.
The line-up for the two-day event is currently as follows:
FOUND will also DJ at the After Party on Saturday at Castle Menzies. Sadly this is now Sold Out although there are a few tickets left for the two gigs!
As well as the music there will also be food on sale courtesy of Stephen Dow from Dows of Aberfeldy on Friday night and the following night you can sample the culinary delights of Lee Patrick from Cafe D’Amour with an array of noodle boxes. N’yum, n’yum!
Preceding the festival, on Thursday 1 November, there will be a screening of Tortoise in Love at Dewar’s World of Whisky.
On Saturday there will also be a traders’ market and a number of events for adults and children and most of the bands playing will also be doing acoustic sets, including, I believe, Kid Canaveral.
I shall be there so feel free to say “Hello!”, although I suspect that most of you haven’t met me before or know what I look like. This is no bad thing. Besides I’ll probably be too busy getting my gums round a spicy hog roast so please just tap me on the shoulder and wait patiently while I wipe the apple chutney from my chops.
