Friday 5 October and Saturday 6 October 2012 sees the return of the small but perfectly formed Reloaded Fest in Stirling.
26 bands will make use of three stages over the two days at the event which is highly regarded as an excellent platform for new and emerging bands.
Friday night will be headlined by Broken Records and the supporting cast includes Song of Return, Rail Fan, Little Men and Her, Madison, Alex Hynes, Jake Rennison, Suite Pea, Matt Comley, Charlotte Riley. Doors open on this day at 5pm and tickets are priced at £10 or £8 in advance.
On Saturday Errors top the bill, with support from Fatherson, The Mouse That Ate The Cat, Blank Canvas, Two Stripe, Six Storeys High, End of Neil, FRANK, Still Life, Gunning for 88, The Streams, Aorta, Failed at Sea, Calum Gilligan, Chris Garner, Hooks n Crooks and Lauren & Konnar. The action starts at 4pm on tickets are £12 or £10 in advance.
The event is in its fifth year and will be held at stirling’s cultural HQ at the Tolbooth. There will be three stages on the go – Main Stage, Attic Stage and Acoustic Stage. MC duties fall to larger-than-Fife DJ Jim Gellatly (I know Jim, I’ve hardly any room to talk!)
Programmer, Stephen Hume says, “After the major success of last year’s Fest which was over two days, we decided to keep the second day, which allows us to celebrate the enormous amount of musical talent in and around Stirling just now. This gives us a better opportunity to showcase local acts and of course, more scope to bring in some of the top touring bands in the country such as Errors and Broken Records, who are both doing exceptionally well. Reloaded Fest encompasses exactly what the Tolbooth stands for: the very best in new music, from bands who are just starting out and in need of a platform, to Scotland’s top established musicians.”
Tickets, including good value £15 weekend tickets, are available from Tolbooth Box Office on 01786-274000 or online via Ticketweb, who will no doubt add unnecessary fees, which I disagree with. Enjoy!
