A message from James Grant
“This is something I’ve always said I’d never do…but this year during a few of my solo shows, I’ve been playing more of my old songs and I think I’ve gradually accepted that this is okay now.
Why not, when in essence, people just want to hear them played again?
I did a particular show in June this year when the audience chose the songs; the gig was seventy five percent Love And Money. Thing is, I enjoyed it.
Five albums on as a solo artist, I feel as if I’ve put enough distance between me and my old band to be able to do this.
This is about getting together with old friends (and fans) and having a good time. Apologies over. So…
As part of Celtic Connections 2011, on Sunday January 16th at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow, LOVE AND MONEY will be performing our two best albums in their entirety; Dogs In The Traffic and Strange Kind Of Love (it is the twenty fifth anniversary of this record’s release.
I’m giving you the heads up, tickets will be available from the 19th October. I guess I’ll see you there.”
