Welcome to the last Where The Action Is of January. We have the usual mix of mod, girl groups, freakbeat, popsike and the best music you’ve never heard from the late 50s through to the early 70s and all in a new time slot, between 9 and 11pm (UK time). We have our regular features as well as some new ones for 2012, alongside a new theme tune. We’re now playing two rounds of the Connect 3 puzzle, the wordless wonder that is the Half-Time Instrumental, a Foreign Language track (which country will we visit this week?), the Under the Influence choice and this week’s Two of a Kind. There’s also a Death Disco track every week and those new features in the shape of Double Rubble and Land of 1000 Dances.

This week we look back to 2011 by celebrating the music of those who passed away last year. this show was originally scheduled for 8 December 2011 but Hurrican Bawbag put paid to that! It’s the usual mix of mod, girl groups, freakbeat, popsike and the best music you’ve never heard from the late 50s through to the early 70s and all in our new time slot, between 9 and 11pm (UK time). We have our regular features as well as some new ones for 2012. alongside a new theme tune. We’re now playing two rounds of the Connect 3 puzzle (subject to change), the wordless wonder that is the Half-Time Instrumental, although there’s no Foreign Language or Birthday track this week. We’ll have Under the Influence, Two of a Kind and not one, but wo Death Disco tracks. Double Rubble takes a week off but we will visit the Land of 1000 Dances.
